- All sets include three print versions: black background with white text (traditional Montessori grammar box style), white background with black borders, and plain white for ink-saving home printing. Lessons can be numbered by the teacher or parent before laminating, allowing children to work through them independently and in sequence.
How to use: Work through the sets progressively, beginning with person, place and thing and building toward more nuanced noun categories. Each set is a cut and sort activity — children sort word cards under the correct category header and self-check using the included control chart. Sets can be introduced one at a time over weeks or months, or used as a complete noun curriculum.
Perfect for: Montessori lower and upper elementary classrooms, homeschool families, and traditional classroom teachers covering parts of speech and grammar. Particularly well suited for special education settings, neurodivergent learners, and any child who benefits from hands-on, visual, and multi-sensory approaches to learning. Ideal for grades 1 to 4.
