What’s included:
- 7 category header cards, each with the characteristic name and its description: Move,
- Reproduce, Sense, Grow, Respire, Excrete, Feed
- Real photographic picture cards to sort under each category
- Control chart for independent self-correction
- PDF format, print and cut
How to use: Children read each category header, then sort the real photographic cards under the correct characteristic. The control chart allows for independent self-correction once the work is introduced. The photographs draw from a diverse range of living things including plants, animals, and humans, making the concept tangible and memorable.
Perfect for: Montessori elementary classrooms, homeschool families, and science teachers introducing biology and life science concepts in grades 1 to 4. Particularly well suited for special education settings, neurodivergent learners, and any child who benefits from hands-on, visual, and multi-sensory approaches to learning. Works beautifully as a follow-up to the 6 Kingdoms of Life unit.
